The Relaxing Outdoors
Casale San Pietro nestles in 8 acres of olive groves. It sits on a raised area, so the views are truly spectacular. We have tried to capture the scenery by the use of careful design to make you feel you are part of it. As you walk around the Casale and its grounds, you will catch the delicious waft of fragrances of herbs and flowers from the planted areas. You will hear the hens and Dolly the goat, whilst the dogs roam outside freely. We produce all our own olive oil and eggs for breakfast are from our happy hens, not to mention all the fresh herbs growing in our beautiful herb garden. As an agriturismo our land and animals are a key part of the Casale experience.
The Long Terrace
The long terrace is accessed either from the Long Room through its five double doors, or outside from either side of the Casale. It is a covered terrace where you can take breakfast, lunch and dinner. It is South-facing so it is in the sun all day, and as it is covered you are shaded from the intense heat, but you can still enjoy the heavenly view over the olive groves to the mountains beyond.
Whilst each of our bedrooms has its own terrace, there are plenty of other places to find around the Casale to sit and relax, from the swimming pool area to the area near reception with a seating area with water features, where you can retreat in peace and listen to the trickling water. Or you can meander through the sleepy olive groves.
The Swimming Pool
The Swimming Pool is located on the far side of the Casale, furthest away from the road, for total privacy and peace. It is a 12 m pool so you can swim laps of just sit on the shallow steps and cool down, the pool is heated so you can enjoy swimming from April to November. There is also a shower and cold water spray just to cool you down. The pool is surrounded by white marble and finished off with exquisite Italian terracotta tiles. The luxurious sun beds are extremely comfortable with their thick cushions, so you can spend a lovely day out here reading, sleeping or day dreaming away your time.
The Outdoor Bar
We have built a small outdoor bar area for our guests to use and enjoy. The bar is the second honesty bar with a selection of wines, prosecco, beers and soft drinks alone with an ice machine. We have created a bar with stools and a sofa so you can escape the heat of the day and enjoy some relaxation time at the bar. It is also quite close to the pool, so you can meander to get a drink to cool down. Also a nice space in the evening to sit and enjoy a drink.
