Ninfa is one of the most beautiful gardens I have ever seen. It is quite organic and eclectic – Monty Don and the New York Times have described it as “the most romantic garden in the world”. Once you have toured the gardens and experienced this delight you will be visit Sperlonga, a seaside town dating back to the Roman times, built up on a cliff. The town was renowned for holidays by the Romans and movie stars of the 60’s and it is said that Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor started their famous love affair here when they were filming Cleopatra in Rome.
This trip is limited and has got to be booked in advance, as Ninfa only opens at certain times of the year. If a private tour is booked there is the extra cost of 250 euro.
