The Local Area Tour

This is a special day out, as it features most of the Medieval towns that are closest to the Casale. Steeped in history, all are unspoilt and beautiful in different ways. You may not even see another tourist. You will start by visiting Fumone, a fortified hilltop town with the highest garden in Europe, then you will tour Alatri with its pre-Roman walls, before stopping off for lunch at a wonderful local Deli before continuing to Fiuggi, the Spa town. You will then continue to Subiaco up in the mountains to visit a Benedictine monastery dating back to the 4th century.
